Troovy Raises ₹100 Crore Series B to Scale Healthy Snacks

Gurugram-based kid's snack startup Troovy has secured ₹100 crore in Series B funding led by Fireside Ventures. The startup plans to use this capital to scale its manufacturing capabilities and expand its distribution network across both quick commerce and offline retail channels. Investors will watch how the company manages competition in the crowded healthy-snacking segment while it aims to reach ₹100 crore in annual revenue.

Troovy, a snack startup focused on children's health, has successfully raised ₹100 crore in its Series B funding round. The investment was led by Fireside Ventures, reflecting ongoing interest in the Indian startup ecosystem. Founded in 2021 by Aditya Mukherjee and Mansi Baranwal, the Gurugram-based company has positioned itself as a healthier alternative in the packaged food market. It aims to differentiate its offerings by excluding refined sugar, maida, palm oil, and synthetic preservatives from its snacks.

The company plans to use the new funds to increase its production capacity and broaden its reach. This involves scaling its presence on quick commerce platforms and deepening its penetration in offline retail stores. To support this growth, the founders intend to invest in research and development to refine their product lineup, which currently includes options like vacuum-cooked chips, cookies, and millet-based pasta. The brand's strategy includes a collaborative product development model where it incorporates feedback directly from parents and children.

This funding round marks the third time the company has raised capital within a 17-month period. Management has set an ambitious target to reach ₹100 crore in annual revenue in the coming years. By using vacuum-cooking technology, the brand claims its chips contain less oil than many conventional products. These product choices are aimed at health-conscious urban families who are increasingly looking for cleaner snack options for their children.

While the funding provides a strong cash cushion, the company operates in a highly competitive FMCG sector. The healthy snacking category is crowded, with both established food giants and other agile startups competing for the same customer base. Scaling distribution in the offline space often involves significant marketing and supply chain costs, which can impact profitability. Investors will be monitoring how the startup balances its rapid growth plans with the need to maintain margins in a segment where customer loyalty can be fickle.

The next phase for Troovy will be to demonstrate that it can sustain its growth trajectory while managing the complexities of a larger supply chain. The company's ability to execute its expansion plans without compromising on quality or product innovation will be a key factor in its path to achieving its revenue goals. Monitoring the brand's progress in offline retail expansion and its ability to manage the rising costs associated with nationwide distribution will be essential for understanding its long-term financial health.
