Karnataka's Department of Electronics, IT and Biotechnology is marking a decade of innovation with its ELEVATE grant-in-aid program. As the initiative heads into its eleventh year, the 25th application call is scheduled for May 25, 2026.
Inclusive Support Tracks
To ensure wider access to funding, ELEVATE's 25th call features four specialized tracks: a general track for all fields, ELEVATE Shakti for ventures with at least 51% women ownership, ELEVATE Unnati for SC/ST founders, and ELEVATE Aspire for startups in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities beyond Bengaluru. These new segments aim to encourage innovation among diverse groups and across different regions within Karnataka.
Ten Years of Funding and Support
In its first ten years, ELEVATE has completed 24 application calls, distributing approximately ₹292.57 crore to over 1,250 startups. Women-led ventures have received ₹77.39 crore for 330 companies, while 464 startups outside Bengaluru have been allocated ₹102.89 crore. The program also offers mentorship, incubation support, networking, and access to government facilities.
Enhancing Startup Leadership
Priyank Kharge, Minister for Electronics, IT and Biotechnology, highlighted ELEVATE's role in strengthening Karnataka's position as India's leading startup hub. The program aligns with the Karnataka Startup Policy 2022-27, supporting the growth of early-stage ideas into scalable businesses. Additional benefits include reimbursements for patent filings, marketing, GST, and quality certifications, reinforcing the state's commitment to its entrepreneurial community.
