GetWork Spins Off AI Unit Flashfox AI After 67% Growth

HRTech firm GetWork has separated its artificial intelligence division into an independent entity, Flashfox AI, following a 67% jump in annual recurring revenue since March 2026. This move aims to accelerate growth as AI-powered products now generate more than half of the company's total income. The new entity plans to target enterprise clients in the UAE, Singapore, and the Philippines.

GetWork, an Indian HRTech company, has restructured its operations by spinning off its AI-driven recruitment division into a standalone entity named Flashfox AI. This corporate change follows a strong growth period for the firm, which has seen its annual recurring revenue (ARR) reach $5 million, reflecting a 67% increase since March 2026.

The company’s revenue model has shifted significantly in recent years. Two years ago, AI-based products contributed only about 10% to the firm's total earnings. Today, that figure has risen to 52%, highlighting the company’s pivot toward technology-led recruitment solutions. By creating a separate entity, GetWork intends to allow Flashfox AI to focus specifically on its "Hiring Brain" platform, which uses automation to handle various stages of the recruitment process.

Scaling and International Ambitions

The separation is part of a strategy to increase the company’s reach beyond domestic borders. To lead this effort, the firm has appointed Tarun Girdhar, formerly of Mercer | Mettl, as the Chief Business Officer of Flashfox AI. His primary responsibility will be to oversee the expansion of the platform into markets such as Singapore, the UAE, and the Philippines.

The company currently serves 400 employers across banking, IT, and startup sectors. Its stated goal is to acquire 500 enterprise clients within the next 24 months. The platform claims its technology can reduce the time taken to hire candidates by 40%, leveraging a proprietary data layer that includes 800 million global profiles and 10 million domestic candidate records.

Risks and Market Challenges

While the separation aims to improve agility, the new entity faces several challenges common to the HRTech sector. Success will depend on the firm's ability to execute its expansion plans in new and highly competitive international markets. In the HRTech space, companies often encounter difficulties related to "enterprise debt," which includes challenges in integrating new AI tools with the existing systems used by large corporate clients.

Furthermore, the use of AI in hiring involves managing risks such as potential algorithmic bias. While the company has noted the use of "human-in-the-loop" safeguards to mitigate these issues, maintaining data quality and meeting compliance standards in different countries will be critical. As GetWork is a private, unlisted company, there is no public stock movement for investors to track. The next important update for observers will be the progress of the planned expansion into international markets and the pace of new enterprise client acquisition.
