Investors Back Experiential Travel Growth
DSG Consumer Partners and Client Associates Alternate Fund (CAAF) have led a ₹54 crore Series A funding round for WanderOn, an experiential travel brand focused on Gen Z and millennial consumers. This injection of capital marks a significant step for the company, which has already achieved over Rs 100 crore in revenue on a bootstrapped model, demonstrating strong organic growth. The company has consistently doubled its business year-on-year in the post-Covid era.
Accelerating Immersive Travel Vision
The fresh funds will enable WanderOn to accelerate its vision of creating more "immersive" and "accessible" travel experiences. This strategic move aligns with a broader shift in travel preferences, where young travelers increasingly seek meaningful experiences and iconic activities over mere landmark ticking. The company plans to broaden its destination offerings and strengthen popular categories like adventure, sports-led, and wellness travel.
Tech and Global Ambitions
WanderOn also intends to invest further in technology to refine the entire traveler journey, from initial discovery and planning through to booking and on-ground execution. CEO Govind Gaur emphasized the company's belief that modern travel is about connection and shared moments. He stated that the funding allows for faster progress on destinations, product innovation, and technology, ensuring the traveler experience remains paramount. Furthermore, with India's outbound travel market gaining traction, WanderOn is positioning itself to serve a new generation of Indian travelers with international aspirations by scaling its global portfolio.
Proven Traction
Founded by a group of NIT Kurukshetra engineers, WanderOn has a track record of success, having taken over one lakh travelers across more than 40 domestic and international destinations. A significant portion of its business is driven by repeat customers, indicating strong client loyalty and satisfaction.
