Clueso Raises $10 Million To Expand AI Video Platform

IIT Madras-founded Clueso has secured $10 million in Series A funding led by Dharana Capital, bringing its total funding to $12 million. The startup uses AI agents to automate product training and video content, aiming to reduce production times for corporate clients. Investors are tracking how effectively the company can scale these enterprise tools against established global competitors.

Clueso has closed a $10 million Series A funding round led by Dharana Capital. This latest infusion brings the total money raised by the startup to $12 million, following a $1.4 million seed round secured in April 2024. Founded in 2023 by IIT Madras alumni Akash Anand, Prajwal Prakash, and Neel Balar, the company is positioning itself in the growing market for AI-driven enterprise software.

The startup provides a platform that uses AI agents to automate the end-to-end production of instructional videos, product demonstrations, and training materials. Instead of traditional manual editing, businesses can use the platform to record software workflows and generate scripts, voiceovers, and motion graphics automatically. A key technical feature is the ability to update video content automatically when software interfaces change, which aims to save companies time on maintenance.

To broaden its reach, Clueso has adopted the Model Context Protocol, which allows its platform to work with established AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT. This ecosystem approach is a strategic move to make the tool easier for employees to use within their existing workflows. The company intends to use the new capital to scale its go-to-market strategy and further develop its proprietary AI agent technology for enterprise clients.

For investors observing the B2B software space, the sector is becoming increasingly crowded. The market for AI-generated video tools is competitive, with numerous startups and established players vying for corporate budgets. A significant challenge for Clueso will be proving that its tools offer enough value to become a standard part of corporate sales and customer onboarding processes. In the enterprise software market, adoption relies heavily on how seamlessly a tool integrates with a company’s existing tech stack and how quickly it can deliver a return on investment by reducing production costs.

Investors will need to monitor how the company balances the cost of operating complex AI models with its pricing for corporate clients. There are also inherent risks in the AI sector, including the rapid evolution of technology that could make current solutions obsolete, as well as strict data security requirements that enterprise clients demand. The next important step for the company will be its ability to convert early interest into large-scale, long-term corporate contracts and demonstrate sustainable revenue growth.
