Clinics On Cloud Raises Rs 120 Crore Series A, Valued at Rs 600 Crore

Pune-based healthtech startup Clinics On Cloud has secured Rs 120 crore in its first institutional funding round led by Model42, valuing the company at Rs 600 crore. The capital will support the firm's transition from an eight-year bootstrapped model to scaling its AI-integrated Health ATM manufacturing and driving global expansion.

Pune-based healthtech firm Clinics On Cloud has completed its first institutional funding round, raising Rs 120 crore in Series A capital. The investment, led by the Dubai-based platform Model42, places a valuation of Rs 600 crore on the company. This move marks a shift for the business, which had operated for eight years through internal funding before seeking external institutional backing.

Clinics On Cloud specializes in the manufacturing of 'Health ATMs'—automated, self-service medical kiosks that offer diagnostic screenings for over 65 clinical parameters, including cardiac and pulmonary functions. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Chakan and has deployed more than 3,500 units across eight countries. Its domestic client base includes large corporate entities such as Tata Power, Reliance, and Godrej, which use these kiosks to provide health monitoring for employees and patrons.

The newly raised capital is earmarked for three primary strategic objectives: scaling hardware manufacturing, enhancing AI-driven diagnostic capabilities, and establishing a global footprint. The company plans to open a hub in the United Arab Emirates to manage its expansion into the United States, Southeast Asia, and various African markets. By integrating artificial intelligence, the firm aims to improve its diagnostic workflow and reduce the dependency on on-site medical staff, a feature designed for low-resource or remote environments.

Investors should note that while the company has built a significant operational track record with over 12 million health screenings to date, the hardware-centric nature of its business carries specific risks. Unlike pure software companies, the Health ATM model requires heavy and continuous capital spending to manufacture, install, and maintain physical infrastructure. This makes operational efficiency and supply chain management critical for long-term profit margins.

Furthermore, the healthtech sector remains highly competitive. The company faces ongoing challenges regarding high customer acquisition costs and the need for continuous research and development to stay ahead in AI-driven diagnostics. As it moves toward international markets, the firm must also navigate diverse regulatory landscapes and compliance standards for medical equipment, which can impact expansion timelines.

For those tracking the Indian startup space, it is important to clarify that Clinics On Cloud is a private entity and is not listed on any stock exchange. Therefore, its performance is not reflected in share price movements. The key metrics for stakeholders to monitor in the coming quarters will be the execution of its international expansion strategy, the effective integration of AI into its hardware, and the company's ability to scale its manufacturing capacity without putting undue pressure on its balance sheet.
