Allianz Buys 1% Stake in HD Fire; Halwasiya Adds to PC Jeweller

Allianz Global Investors has acquired a 1% stake in HD Fire Protect for Rs 55.7 crore. Meanwhile, investor Aditya Kumar Halwasiya increased his holding in PC Jeweller by 0.56% following the company's strong recent earnings performance.

Institutional investors are rebalancing their portfolios with several significant block deals this week, focusing on firms that recently posted strong growth or finished their initial public offerings. The activity reflects a broader shift in capital allocation toward specific niche players in the fire safety and retail jewellery sectors.

Allianz Enters HD Fire Protect

Allianz Global Investors has acquired a 1% equity stake in HD Fire Protect on behalf of its Allianz Soa Fonds. The transaction involved the purchase of 1.75 million shares at a price of Rs 317.48 per share, with the deal value totaling Rs 55.73 crore. This investment comes shortly after the company’s recent initial public offering of Rs 712 crore. Since listing, the stock has traded at a premium to its issue price, suggesting that investors are showing confidence in the company’s specialized water and gas-based fire suppression technology. For investors, the monitorable will be how the company scales its operations and maintains margins given the competitive nature of the industrial fire safety market.

PC Jeweller Sees Continued Buying

Retail jewellery chain PC Jeweller has also witnessed increased institutional interest. Investor Aditya Kumar Halwasiya expanded his position in the company by purchasing 55.1 million shares, which amounts to a 0.56% stake. The acquisition was valued at Rs 101.3 crore, with an average price of Rs 18.39 per share. This follows a previous stake purchase by the same investor on October 15, indicating a sustained interest in the retailer's growth strategy. The increased buying aligns with the company's recent quarterly results, which showed a 58% year-on-year rise in profit to Rs 331.1 crore for the quarter ending September 2026. Revenue also grew by 27.8% during the same period. While the recent numbers are positive, retail jewellery stocks can be sensitive to fluctuations in gold prices and shifts in consumer demand, which are factors investors typically watch.

Engineering Sector Ownership Changes

Other parts of the market also saw movement, particularly in the engineering sector. At Rappid Valves (India), the Maharashtra Defence and Aerospace Venture Fund reduced its holding, divesting 1.44 lakh shares at Rs 355.33 per share. The stake was picked up by other institutional players, including Niveza Small Cap Fund and Aegis Investment Fund. The stock closed the session at Rs 355.25. Similarly, there was a change in ownership at Encompass Design India, where Minerva Ventures Fund acquired a 1.71% stake following the exit of Radiant Global Fund. These ownership shifts highlight the ongoing liquidity and churning happening within mid-cap engineering firms, as funds rotate their capital based on internal mandates and performance targets.
