SAEL Industries Limited is set to make a substantial investment of Rs 22,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on several key growth sectors. The investment will span renewable energy, including utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects totalling 1,750 MW across Kadapa and Kurnool districts. These projects are linked to tenders from National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (NHPC) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). A significant biomass power project of 200 MW is also planned, designed to boost rural employment and utilize agricultural residues. The company will establish a hyperscale-ready data centre with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, leveraging Andhra Pradesh's digital infrastructure. Furthermore, Rs 4,000 crore will be allocated to port development to enhance maritime logistics and export capabilities. This multi-sector investment is projected to generate over 70,000 jobs, including 7,000 direct roles. Andhra Pradesh's IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, expressed delight, highlighting SAEL's execution expertise and its role in the state's clean energy policy. SAEL has already invested Rs 3,200 crore and commissioned 600 MW in the state.
