Enviro Infra's Move into Wind Energy
Enviro Infra Engineers Ltd. is entering the wind energy market by acquiring Suyog Urja Limited through its wholly-owned subsidiary, EIE Renewables Private Limited. The companies signed a Share Purchase Agreement for 100% of Suyog Urja, a step intended to strengthen Enviro Infra's position in the fast-growing renewable energy sector.
Acquisition Details and Suyog Urja's Financials
The acquisition will happen in stages, with EIE Renewables first buying a 51% stake in Suyog Urja. The remaining 49% will be purchased over the next 27 months. The total cash price for the deal is about ₹311 crore. Suyog Urja, founded in 2008, reported an audited turnover of ₹171.99 crore in FY25. This is a significant jump from ₹86.71 crore in FY24 and ₹53.34 crore in FY23. As of March 31, 2025, its net worth was ₹30.34 crore.
Suyog Urja's Experience and Projects
Suyog Urja is an experienced company in renewable energy infrastructure, skilled in executing wind and solar projects across various Indian states. It has completed over 500 MW of renewable energy projects and has an order book worth approximately ₹645 crore. Its projects include work for major clients like Tata Power Saurya Limited, Vibrant Energy, and Suzlon Energy Limited, handling everything from land acquisition to final commissioning.
Strategic Rationale and Leadership
Enviro Infra Engineers stated that the acquisition is not a related party transaction. This deal aims to diversify EIE Renewables' energy sources, expand its geographic presence, and grow its renewable portfolio with significant wind energy capacity. Former promoter Chetraj Narbahadur Khadka will stay with Suyog Urja for three years to help ensure a smooth leadership transition and provide strategic advice.
Share Price Reaction
Enviro Infra Engineers Ltd.'s shares reacted positively to the announcement, closing up 3.57% at ₹216.94 on the NSE on Tuesday, April 28. The acquisition signals Enviro Infra's clear strategy to tap into growth opportunities within India's fast-growing renewable energy market.
