Advait Energy Transitions Unit Wins ₹116 Cr Solar EPC Order

Advait Greenergy, a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions, has secured a ₹116 crore contract from KPI Green Energy for a 200 MW solar project in Bikaner. While the order expands the company's project pipeline, investors should monitor the company's cash collection and execution timelines given the sector's capital-intensive nature.

Advait Energy Transitions Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Advait Greenergy Private Limited, has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract worth ₹116 crore by KPI Green Energy Limited. The project involves setting up a 200 MW solar ground-mounted facility in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The contract covers the entire project lifecycle, including initial design, component supply, construction, testing, and final commissioning. The company has committed to a 12-month timeline for completing this project. This is a turnkey assignment, meaning the company takes responsibility for the project from start to finish.

This order follows a period of active project wins for Advait Energy Transitions. In July 2026, the company secured four contracts totaling ₹250.59 crore from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL). These earlier projects were focused on converting overhead power lines to underground cables in various parts of Gujarat. The ability to secure large orders from different clients reflects the company's focus on expanding its energy infrastructure footprint.

For investors, while a growing order book is a sign of business momentum, the financial health of an infrastructure company depends heavily on how it manages its cash and debt. The energy sector often involves high working capital requirements. In previous reports, the company has seen high debtor days, which measures how long it takes to collect payments from clients. Additionally, the company has reported negative cash flow from its operations in recent periods and holds contingent liabilities of approximately ₹196.89 crore. These factors mean that winning a contract is only the first step.

The ultimate benefit to shareholders will depend on the company's ability to execute these projects on time without cost overruns and, importantly, its ability to collect payments from customers efficiently. If collection times remain high or cash flow stays tight, the company may face financial pressure despite a strong pipeline of orders.

Following the announcement, shares of Advait Energy Transitions saw a positive market reaction, rising by over 2% on the National Stock Exchange on August 18, 2026. Investors may now look for updates on project execution milestones, margin performance on these new contracts, and whether there is any improvement in the company's cash collection cycle in the upcoming quarterly results.
