ACME Solar Energizes Gujarat with 12 MW Wind Capacity Boost

Project Expansion Reaches 68 MW Milestone

The expansion at the Surendaranagar facility utilized SANY's 4 MW turbines and was observed by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited. Formal certification is expected soon, validating the latest addition to the facility. This significant development pushes the facility's total operational capacity to 68 MW, moving closer to its 100 MW target.

Long-Term Revenue Stability Secured

Power generated from this expanded capacity will be sold under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. This long-term contract provides a predictable revenue stream and de-risks the investment. The project is being developed in phases by ACME's subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd, showcasing a phased growth strategy. The company leveraged its in-house engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities for the build.

ACME Solar's Growing Renewable Footprint

This expansion further solidifies ACME Solar's position as a major player in India's burgeoning renewable energy sector. The company currently manages a substantial portfolio of 2,958 MW of operational renewable energy capacity, with an additional 4,562 MW under construction. ACME Solar's diverse portfolio includes wind, solar, firm and dispatchable renewable energy solutions, and hybrid systems, complemented by approximately 15 gigawatt-hours of battery energy storage systems.
