Pune-based Gera Developments Pvt Ltd is set to invest around Rs 1,100 crore, inclusive of land costs, for a new housing project in Pune. This significant investment signals the company's strategic expansion into wellness-centric homes. The upcoming project spans 8 acres and aims to develop approximately 1,000 residential units in two phases. The first phase will offer about 500 units for sale, with prices starting at approximately Rs 1.25 crore per unit.
Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has been roped in as the brand ambassador for Gera's Wellness Centric Homes, enhancing the project's appeal. The company plans to develop six more such wellness-centric housing projects within the next few years, indicating a strong commitment to this evolving market segment.
Residents of the wellness-centric homes will have access to a suite of services promoting health and well-being, including yoga, pilates, aqua aerobics, nutrition consultations, personal fitness coaching, and community wellness programs, often facilitated through partnerships with wellness experts.
Rohit Gera, Managing Director of Gera Developments, stated that while the construction cost for wellness-centric projects is slightly higher than regular ones, the company sees it as a progression from child-centric homes to comprehensive living environments. The land for the current project is fully paid, and construction costs will be managed through internal accruals. Gera Developments currently has a presence in Pune, Goa, and Bengaluru, with five projects under construction, four of which are housing developments.
