Aurum PropTech posted a net profit of ₹45.18 crore for the June quarter, reversing a loss of ₹10.02 crore a year ago. The turnaround was largely driven by a one-time gain from selling two commercial properties in Navi Mumbai. Investors are now focusing on the company's integration of Housing.com to scale its AI-native real estate platform.
Aurum PropTech Ltd has reported a consolidated net profit of ₹45.18 crore for the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year. This is a sharp recovery compared to the net loss of ₹10.02 crore recorded in the same period last year. The company’s total income also increased significantly to ₹119.01 crore, up from ₹73.88 crore in the previous year.
The profit for the quarter was heavily influenced by a one-time event rather than core operational growth alone. The company recognized ₹52.35 crore as other income following the sale of two commercial buildings located in Navi Mumbai. While this transaction provided a major boost to the bottom line, it is important for investors to distinguish between one-time gains from asset sales and sustainable income from the company’s ongoing business operations.
Scaling Through Housing.com Acquisition
A key focus for the company moving forward is its acquisition of Housing.com for ₹458 crore. This deal was completed through an all-equity share swap, meaning Aurum PropTech issued its own shares to acquire the platform. By integrating Housing.com, the company aims to combine a major real estate discovery platform—which reports over 58 million monthly visits—with its existing suite of services, including NestAway and HelloWorld.
Management has stated that the objective is to build an AI-native real estate operating system. According to the company, its data analytics, transaction management, and sales automation segments have already reached profitability driven by AI tools. Additionally, the co-living and rental platforms have achieved positive EBITDA, meaning they are generating profit before accounting for interest, taxes, and depreciation, which indicates improved operational efficiency.
What Investors Should Track
While the recent profit figure appears strong, the reliance on one-time property sales is a point to consider when analyzing the quality of earnings. Investors may want to monitor how effectively the company integrates Housing.com into its wider ecosystem. The success of this strategy will likely depend on whether the combined entity can turn high website traffic into consistent, scalable revenue without the need for large asset sales. Future updates regarding the performance of the co-living segment and the actual cost-saving benefits from the AI-native platform will be critical to understanding the company's long-term financial health.
