Amazon Data Services has signed a 17-year lease for four acres of land in Mumbai’s Powai from Larsen & Toubro. This deal, valued at over ₹650 crore, expands the company’s data center footprint in the region to 13.5 acres to support growing cloud and AI demand.

Amazon Data Services India has expanded its data center infrastructure in Mumbai by leasing a four-acre land parcel in the Powai area. The land has been leased from industrial major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for a period of 17 years and seven months. The total value of the rental commitment over the lease period exceeds ₹650 crore. According to the property registration documents, the deal includes an upfront premium payment of ₹72 crore and a monthly rental of ₹2.76 crore, with a 3% annual rent escalation clause.
