These proposals, which include expansion of the Multi-Modal Transport System and the development of new transport hubs, are designed to align with national logistics frameworks such as the PM Gati Shakti plan. By integrating these rail lines into the state's long-term urban planning, the government aims to reduce road congestion and improve last-mile connectivity for the rapidly growing metropolitan region, particularly around the Cherlapally Railway Station.

The state is currently juggling 21 major railway projects with a combined investment of approximately ₹40,769 crore.
