During his address, Thackeray praised the younger generation for their involvement in nationwide social and political movements. He specifically highlighted their active role in protesting issues such as the NEET paper leak, suggesting that this participation demonstrates a continued commitment to democratic engagement.
Beyond his comments on youth empowerment, Thackeray criticized current government policy priorities. He specifically expressed opposition to the proposed delimitation exercise, which involves redrawing parliamentary constituency boundaries. Instead of expanding the number of seats in the Lok Sabha, Thackeray argued that the focus should remain on addressing employment challenges facing the youth. He questioned whether a larger parliament would lead to more effective governance or improved legislative outcomes.
