Spinny Parent Valuedrive Turns Public Company, Sets 2027 IPO Target

Valuedrive Technologies, the owner of used-car platform Spinny, has officially converted into a public limited company to prepare for an initial public offering (IPO) in 2027. The firm is scaling its operations with a revenue goal of ₹6,000 crore for FY26. Investors may track its expansion in the competitive used-car market and the upcoming formal regulatory filings.

Valuedrive Technologies, the parent company of the used-car retail platform Spinny, has completed its transition into a public limited company. This shift, which took place following a shareholder resolution on July 29, 2026, is a standard and necessary procedural step for a private firm planning to launch an initial public offering (IPO) on Indian stock exchanges.

The company is preparing for this transition with a strong financial track record. Spinny reported operating revenue of ₹4,657 crore for the financial year ending 2025. With a focus on capturing more market share, the company is aiming to increase this figure to approximately ₹6,000 crore by the end of fiscal year 2026.

Currently, the platform sells about 15,000 vehicles every month. Its services are present in 25 cities for buyers, while its seller networks span over 100 cities. The company has stated plans to expand its direct buyer network to 35 cities in the near future. To manage the upcoming public issue, which is reportedly targeting a raise between $250 million and $300 million (over ₹2,800 crore), the company has engaged investment bankers including Morgan Stanley, Kotak Mahindra Capital, and Citi India. While the exact timing will depend on market conditions, the current internal targets point toward a 2027 listing.

For potential future investors, the company's path to the public market will depend on how it manages its operational scaling. Growing the buyer network from 25 to 35 cities involves significant execution risk, where managing costs and maintaining service quality are key factors. Additionally, the Indian used-car market is highly competitive, and any slowdown in consumer demand or broader economic shifts could influence both the company’s financial performance and the eventual timing of the IPO.

The company has secured approximately $780 million in funding to date, supporting its expansion and operational infrastructure. As Valuedrive Technologies moves forward, the primary monitorable for investors will be its formal filing of draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) papers with the market regulator, SEBI, which will provide deeper transparency into its financials, debt, and future growth strategy.
