Shiprocket IPO to Open Aug 12: Price Band, GMP, and Key Details

Shiprocket’s ₹1,617.48 crore IPO will open for subscription on August 12, 2026, with a price band of ₹92–₹97 per share. Grey market sentiment suggests a potential listing gain of nearly 28%. The company is focusing on reducing debt and expanding its platform, with recent data showing a narrowing of financial losses.

Shiprocket is set to enter the public market with its initial public offering (IPO) scheduled to open for subscription on August 12, 2026. The company has set a price band of ₹92 to ₹97 per share, aiming to raise a total of ₹1,617.48 crore. Investors are already tracking the grey market, where shares are trading at a premium of around ₹26–₹27, signaling a potential listing gain of approximately 28% over the upper price band.

The total issue is structured into two parts: a fresh issuance of shares worth ₹885.50 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹731.98 crore by existing shareholders. This offering is expected to result in a market capitalization of approximately ₹7,057.5 crore at the higher end of the price band. The subscription window will remain open for three days, closing on August 14, 2026.

Financial performance has been a key area of focus for the company. While Shiprocket has reported losses in past years, the data shows a trend of narrowing deficits. For the fiscal year 2026, the company posted a net loss of ₹79.25 crore, a significant improvement from the ₹595.18 crore loss seen in FY24. Total income reached ₹2,077.42 crore for the same period, indicating that the company is scaling its revenue alongside its efforts to move toward profitability.

The money raised from the fresh issue is intended to support the company’s long-term growth. Specifically, about ₹365.6 crore is allocated for improving technology infrastructure and marketing, while ₹210 crore will be used to pay off existing debt. This reduction in debt is a strategic move to lower interest costs. The remaining funds are planned for potential acquisitions, which may help the company expand its service offerings.

Investors considering the IPO should be aware of the competitive nature of the logistics sector. Shiprocket’s performance is tied to the growth of the Indian e-commerce market. As order volumes fluctuate, so does the company's revenue. Additionally, the company is betting on inorganic growth through acquisitions; integrating these new businesses effectively without cost overruns remains an important area to monitor. While grey market premiums suggest strong interest, these figures are based on sentiment and can change quickly due to market volatility. The final allotment and listing are tentatively scheduled for August 19, 2026.
