Quess Corp’s consolidated net profit rose 61% to ₹81.9 crore in the first quarter of FY27, as revenue increased 14.5% to ₹4,181.7 crore. Growth was largely supported by strong demand in professional staffing and international operations across the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Quess Corp, a major player in the business services and staffing sector, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹81.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. This marks a 60.9% increase compared to the ₹50.9 crore profit recorded in the same quarter last year. The company's total revenue from operations reached ₹4,181.7 crore, reflecting a 14.5% growth from the ₹3,651.4 crore reported in the year-ago period.
Staffing Business and Operational Scaling
The company’s core general staffing segment remains a significant contributor, generating ₹3,596 crore in revenue during the quarter. Quess Corp expanded its total employee headcount to 469,000, adding over 3,800 new employees during the period. The professional staffing segment also showed resilience, achieving 12% growth in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) while maintaining margins near 11%. Global Capability Centres (GCCs) continue to be a primary focus, representing 68% of the company's total revenue.
International Expansion and Margin Strategy
International operations were a notable growth engine for the quarter, with the company securing 37 new contracts across global markets. The Middle East division reported a 26% revenue increase, with profit margins stabilizing at 12%. Furthermore, the company’s operations in Malaysia experienced a 56% surge in revenue, while markets in Singapore and the Philippines also posted double-digit growth. Despite these gains, the overall company EBITDA margin remained steady at 2%.
Looking forward, the company is shifting its strategic focus toward higher-value service offerings. Management has indicated plans to prioritize AI-driven process transformation and specialized hiring solutions for Global Capability Centres. A key area for investors to monitor will be the execution of these high-margin initiatives and the ability to maintain profitability as the company expands its international presence. The focus on partner-led models for talent export and potential collaborations with Japanese enterprises will also be important indicators of the company’s ability to drive margin expansion in the coming quarters.
