Munger Brick Kiln Guard Murdered, Police Probe Linked To Past Case

A security guard at a brick kiln in Munger, Bihar, was shot dead while on duty. His family alleges the attack is connected to an ongoing kidnapping case involving his daughter. Police have detained two individuals for questioning as investigations into the motive continue.

A security guard identified as Subodh Yadav, 45, was fatally shot during his night shift at a brick kiln in the Munger district of Bihar. The incident, which occurred early Wednesday, has led to a police investigation centered on potential motives related to a prior legal dispute.

Alleged Link to Kidnapping Case

The victim's family has alleged that the murder is a direct act of retaliation. According to reports provided to law enforcement, a kidnapping case was filed several months ago against individuals including Devan Yadav and his son, following the disappearance of the victim's daughter. The family claims the accused had been putting pressure on them to drop these legal charges and had issued death threats just days before the attack.

Ongoing Police Investigation

Senior police officials, led by Munger Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood, reached the site to oversee the collection of evidence. Forensic teams have processed the area, and authorities are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the brick kiln premises to identify the perpetrators. Two individuals have been taken into custody for questioning as part of the initial investigation. Police are currently conducting raids to trace other suspects involved in the incident. The investigation remains active as authorities work to verify the claims made by the family regarding the motive.
