Global Logistics Network
The joint venture, to be established in Dubai, will offer global third-party and fourth-party logistics (3PL/4PL) services, with the exception of Japan. This alliance is built to meet the changing needs of auto manufacturers by merging Hellmann's vast international logistics network and Motherson's deep knowledge of automotive supply chains. The partnership aims to improve operational efficiency and predictability for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) by building more resilient and adaptable supply networks.
Synergy and Sustainability Focus
Arjun Kochhar, CEO of Motherson’s Logistics Solutions Business Division, emphasized the combined strengths: "Our partnership with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics unites Motherson’s integrated industrial capabilities with Hellmann’s extensive network and advanced logistics expertise." This collaboration is anticipated to grant access to a broad network of over 30,000 suppliers. Madhav Kurup, Hellmann’s Global COO, noted the venture will establish a global platform for sophisticated automotive logistics, integrating intelligent processes and smooth coordination across markets. A key focus will also be on sustainable logistics, with both companies committed to achieving carbon net-zero goals and backing industry sustainability efforts.
Driving Growth and Financials
This new venture supports Motherson's wider strategy to strengthen its logistics division, a key component for its growing international manufacturing activities. The announcement follows strong financial reporting from the company. In the December quarter, Motherson achieved a record consolidated revenue of ₹31,409 crore, a 14% increase year-on-year. Net profit rose by 16.5% to ₹1,023 crore, highlighting the company's strong operational performance and strategic focus.
