The move to online classes was triggered by a violent incident at the nearby Aastha Kunj Park, where a teenager was assaulted. The situation intensified when local authorities tracked one of the suspects to a location just 50 metres from the college’s rear entrance. This tracking operation resulted in a gunfire exchange between the police and the suspect, leaving the individual injured. Given the proximity of the shootout to the educational institution, the college prioritized student safety by pausing in-person operations.
Students residing in private hostels in the vicinity have been particularly affected by these developments.
