Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir successfully recovered a 4-kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) during a search operation on Sunday. The explosive device was found concealed inside a pressure cooker in Mangnipora village, located in the Bandipora district. A coordinated team consisting of the 27 Assam Rifles and local police carried out the operation. The police bomb disposal squad later defused the device, ensuring the area was secured.
Authorities have continued cordon and search operations in the region to maintain security. Earlier this month, security forces neutralized a high-ranking commander affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) group following targeted surveillance.
