Home Services Market Hits Milestone: Snabbit, Urban Company Top 100K Daily Orders

Snabbit and Urban Company’s Insta Help have both crossed 100,000 daily orders, signaling rapid growth in the instant home services sector. While order volumes are rising, companies are balancing aggressive customer acquisition costs with a shift toward long-term operational sustainability.

The instant home services industry in India has reached a significant scale, with major players Snabbit and Urban Company’s Insta Help both surpassing 100,000 daily order completions as of August 2026. This performance comes after a high-volume July, where the top three companies—Urban Company’s Insta Help, Snabbit, and Pronto—processed nearly 5 million orders in total. Urban Company’s Insta Help recorded approximately 1.9 million orders for the month, while Snabbit followed with 1.85 million, and Pronto completed over 1.25 million bookings.

Financial Shifts and Operational Efficiency

For Snabbit, this growth is supported by a focus on unit economics. The company reported a Consolidated Net Order Value (NOV) of over ₹130 per job after accounting for promotional discounts. Crucially, Snabbit noted that its cost per job has fallen by more than ₹100 sequentially, bringing it to below ₹250. Currently, the company maintains a presence in 10 cities and over 150 micromarkets, utilizing a network of more than 25,000 service professionals to manage this volume.

Competition and Sustainability Challenges

While the sector is seeing strong demand, it remains highly competitive. Players are frequently using promotional tactics, such as low-cost initial campaigns, to attract new users and gain market share. This reliance on heavy marketing spending remains a primary concern for investors evaluating the long-term profitability of these platforms. Industry leaders have begun to emphasize that while daily order milestones validate the demand for tech-enabled home services, the path to profitability will depend on customer retention rates, consistent service quality, and the ability to maintain professional availability without excessive discounting.

Future Monitoring

As the industry matures, the focus for market observers is shifting from pure order growth to business sustainability. Key factors to track in upcoming quarters include whether these companies can continue to reduce the cost per job while maintaining high service standards. Additionally, the ability of these platforms to retain customers once promotional offers are phased out will be a critical indicator of whether the current scale is built on genuine demand or heavily subsidized marketing. Investors and stakeholders will likely monitor future earnings reports for improvements in margins and a clearer trend toward self-sustaining operations.
