A tragic incident has occurred in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a 22-year-old individual named Rajkumar lost his life after sustaining severe injuries. The incident took place outside a police Pink Booth on July 12, sparking questions regarding emergency response protocols and public safety services.
Investigation into Alleged Delays
Family members of the deceased have alleged that the victim, who had suffered significant blood loss, did not receive immediate help despite being in the vicinity of a police facility. The family claims that the victim sought assistance following a dispute with an auto-rickshaw driver, during which he sustained injuries after glass at the booth was shattered. These claims of negligence are now the subject of an official inquiry.
Police Account of the Incident
Ghaziabad Police have initiated a formal investigation to determine the exact timeline of events. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kavinagar) Upasana Pandey stated that preliminary reports suggest both the victim and the auto-rickshaw driver were intoxicated at the time of the dispute, which allegedly centered on a financial disagreement. According to the police, the victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal has confirmed that a dedicated team is examining all aspects of the case. This investigation includes an analysis of police conduct, the speed of the emergency response, and the review of video footage circulating in the public domain.
