Cube Highways Trust IPO Allotment Finalized Today

Cube Highways Trust is completing the allotment for its ₹5,000-crore IPO today after receiving bids 9.35 times the offer size. Investors can check their allotment status before units are credited to demat accounts by July 30. The listing on major exchanges is tentatively set for August 3, 2026.

Detailed Coverage

The Cube Highways Trust, an Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), is set to finalize the allotment of units for its ₹5,000-crore public issue today, July 27, 2026. The offering, which closed recently, saw strong interest from investors with total bids reaching 9.35 times the available units. The issue was offered within a price band of ₹151 to ₹152 per unit.

Investor Participation and Demand

Data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) showed that total demand reached over 127 crore units against the 13.65 crore units offered to the public. Ahead of the public launch, the Trust had already secured ₹1,687.5 crore from 59 anchor investors. This list included significant participation from domestic mutual funds like HDFC AMC, SBI Mutual Fund, and Nippon India Mutual Fund, alongside global institutions such as Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. This initial institutional backing is often viewed as a sign of confidence in the underlying assets of an InvIT, which typically consists of toll-road projects that generate regular cash flows.

Understanding InvITs as an Asset Class

For investors, an InvIT functions differently than a traditional equity share. It is designed to hold and manage infrastructure assets, such as roads or power lines, and is mandated to distribute a significant portion of its cash flow to unit holders as dividends or interest. Because these trusts rely on stable income from toll collections or government payments, they are generally considered by long-term investors as instruments for steady income rather than high capital appreciation. However, the performance of these trusts is directly linked to the traffic volume and the maintenance quality of the highways within the portfolio.

Next Steps for Successful Applicants

Investors who participated in the IPO should monitor their bank accounts and demat statements over the coming days. The process for initiating refunds to those who did not receive an allotment is scheduled for July 30, 2026. On the same date, successful applicants should see the units credited to their demat accounts. Following this, the units are tentatively expected to be listed on the BSE and NSE on August 3, 2026. Once listed, the units will trade throughout the day like shares, and their price will be determined by market demand, interest rate trends, and the perceived stability of the Trust’s toll-road portfolio.
