Quantum Mutual Fund, founded in 2005, is undergoing a strategic revival. Initially a direct-only fund, it shifted to offer regular plans and distributors in 2017. Under new CEO Seemant Shukla (appointed April), the fund has focused on expanding its network of mutual fund distributors and investment advisors. The number of empanelled partners now exceeds 17,691. This has contributed to a recent AUM growth of ₹480 crore since April, with a significant 17% increase in Assets Under Management (AUM) between March and September. Quantum is also expanding its physical presence into Tier-II cities like Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru, and enhancing its digital engagement. While some funds like the Quantum Small Cap Fund have outperformed benchmarks, others have underperformed.
**Impact:** This strategic shift and growth are positive for the Indian mutual fund sector, potentially offering investors more choices and highlighting growth strategies within the industry. Rating: 6/10
