ATP Tour Comes Exclusively to FanCode
Sports streaming platform FanCode, a venture of Dream Sports, has officially acquired exclusive, multi-year media rights to broadcast and stream men's professional tennis across the Indian subcontinent. The partnership, signed with ATP Media, will span through 2028.
This landmark agreement designates FanCode as the exclusive digital home for the ATP Tour throughout India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives. Fans in these regions will gain access to an extensive schedule of over 50 ATP Tour tournaments annually. The coverage includes the full season calendar, encompassing ATP Masters 1000, ATP 500, and ATP 250 events, culminating in the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals.
Expanding Digital Sports Footprint
All matches will be available live and on-demand through FanCode's digital platforms. The rights package extends beyond live action to include full match replays, highlight packages, and feature programming. A dedicated weekly tennis show, crafted specifically for regional audiences, is also part of the offering.
FanCode plans to enhance the sport's appeal further by developing India-focused shows and unique regional storytelling formats. Yannick Colaco, co-founder of FanCode, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with ATP Media to bring the ATP Tour to tennis fans across the subcontinent." He added that the platform aims to become the go-to destination for tennis enthusiasts.
Strategic Move Amidst Gaming Sector Shifts
Mark Webster, CEO of ATP Media, highlighted the strategic importance of the deal, noting that "The Indian Subcontinent represents a number of key markets for both existing and potential tennis fans." He believes the partnership with FanCode, an innovative digital platform, will mutually foster the growth of tennis in the region.
The addition of the ATP Tour significantly strengthens FanCode's already robust portfolio of sports rights. The platform already features Formula 1, LaLiga football, MotoGP, PGA Tour golf, international cricket, and various global leagues. It also streams prominent women's competitions like the Women's Super League and UEFA Women's Champions League.
This development occurs as Dream Sports navigates a broader business transition. Recent regulatory shifts impacting real-money gaming in India have prompted significant adjustments for its primary entity, Dream11, influencing the sector's operational landscape.
