Dish TV Targets South India with New ₹149 Regional Packs

Dish TV India is boosting its presence in the vital South Indian market with a new strategy. The company has launched regional language packs starting at ₹149 monthly for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam speakers. This initiative targets a region where local content, cinema, and family entertainment are central to TV viewing.

Tailored Content for Local Viewers

The basic package offers over 225 channels. Specific language packs include more than 30 tailored channels, designed around daily viewing habits and strong regional preferences. The goal is to make access simpler, more convenient, and more affordable for customers.

'Sports Always-On' Feature Added

Dish TV is also introducing a 'Sports Always-On' feature. This ensures subscribers don't miss live sports during recharge gaps or brief service interruptions. The company highlights that the entire offering focuses on everyday viewing habits, emphasizing uninterrupted entertainment and a straightforward user experience.

Leadership Explains Regional Strategy

Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director at Dish TV India Ltd., noted that South India has "always been an extremely important market," driven by strong language preferences and a rich entertainment culture. He added that the company aims to make entertainment "simpler, more seamless, and consistently connected" in preferred languages. Sukhpreet Singh, Chief Revenue Officer, stated that customers want affordable options that match their language and viewing habits, and the new South India offering combines value, strong regional choices, and continuous access.

This regional push is part of Dish TV's wider plan to strengthen its personalized, language-focused entertainment services in one of India's most competitive TV markets.
