A group of Supreme Court advocates organized a public demonstration on the court lawns on Thursday, marking the start of a campaign titled 'Save Democracy, Save Constitution.' The gathering served as a show of solidarity with students currently protesting across various cities against the reported paper leak in the NEET-UG medical entrance examination.
Led by Senior Advocate Indira Jaising, the group recited the Preamble of the Constitution to emphasize their commitment to judicial recourse and student welfare. The advocates stated that their objective is to ensure that the concerns of the students are addressed through proper legal channels and to voice opposition to the police actions taken against protesters during recent demonstrations. Union Minister Jitendra Singh told the media that the government has extended four formal invitations to student representatives to discuss the grievances. He noted that he and Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda are available to meet at their respective offices or residences.

Saurav Das, the Chief Spokesperson for the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), indicated that the organization has not received official notification of these invitations. The CJP has expressed a willingness to participate in discussions provided the venue is accessible, such as Jantar Mantar or another neutral location.
