The case came to light after the victim’s family grew suspicious of his wife’s claims that he had moved to Australia for professional reasons. Concerns escalated when family members, who were planning their own travel, repeatedly asked for contact details that were never provided. This led to a formal police complaint filed by the victim’s brother on July 26, 2026.
Following the complaint, law enforcement officials conducted an investigation at a factory location in Jamnagar. On July 30, 2026, police exhumed remains buried 12 feet deep under a thick concrete floor. According to statements from the Assistant Superintendent of Police, specialized power tools were utilized to remove the one-foot-thick concrete layer before the remains could be recovered.
Police allege that the victim was poisoned during a gathering at the industrial shed in late May 2024. Investigators believe the accused buried the victim at the site and subsequently sealed the area to conceal the act. The three arrested individuals—the wife, an alleged associate, and a third party—are currently facing charges related to murder and the destruction of evidence.
The recovered remains have been sent to a forensic laboratory for formal identification. As the legal process continues, authorities are focused on gathering further evidence to establish the sequence of events. The case remains under active investigation by the Jamnagar police.
