Apple Inc. has filed a petition at the Delhi High Court challenging India's competition law provisions that allow the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to levy penalties based on a company's 'global turnover.' The tech giant is contesting the 2023 amendment to the Competition Act, 2002, which expanded the definition of 'turnover' to include worldwide earnings, potentially leading to much larger fines for alleged anti-competitive practices in India.
