The upcoming week, from November 3 to November 8, promises significant activity in India's primary market. The main attraction is the Rs 6,632.30 crore IPO of Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of the popular investment platform Groww. This IPO, open from November 4 to November 7, has a price band of Rs 95–100 per share. It comprises a fresh issue of Rs 1,060 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of Rs 5,572.30 crore, involving stakes from promoters and investors like Peak XV Partners and Ribbit Capital.
In the SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise) segment, three companies are launching their public issues. Shreeji Global FMCG is offering Rs 85 crore from November 4-7 at Rs 120–125 per share. Finbud Financial Services will open its Rs 71.68 crore issue from November 6-10, priced between Rs 140–142. Curis Lifesciences follows with a Rs 27.52 crore issue from November 7-11, with a price band of Rs 120–128. These SME IPOs are expected to list on the NSE SME platform.
Adding to the market buzz, five new companies are set to list on the exchanges. Jayesh Logistics will list on November 3, followed by Game Changers Texfab on November 4. Orkla India and Safecure Services are scheduled for November 6, and Studds Accessories will list on November 7.
Impact: This surge in IPOs and new listings is expected to increase investor participation and capital flow into the market. The performance of these new offerings, particularly the Groww IPO, could influence market sentiment and provide opportunities for investors seeking growth. The success of these listings will be closely watched by the market. Rating: 8/10.
Difficult Terms: IPO (Initial Public Offering): The process by which a private company offers its shares to the public for the first time, usually to raise capital. SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise): Refers to smaller companies that typically have lower revenue and market capitalization compared to large enterprises. They often list on specialized SME exchanges. Mainboard IPO: An IPO conducted on the main stock exchange platforms (like NSE or BSE main boards) for larger, more established companies. Fresh Issue: When a company issues new shares to the public, thereby increasing the total number of shares outstanding and raising fresh capital for itself. Offer for Sale (OFS): A method where existing shareholders (like founders, promoters, or early investors) sell their shares to new investors. The company itself does not receive funds from an OFS; the proceeds go to the selling shareholders. Price Band: The range within which the price of a share is offered to the public during an IPO. Bids are accepted within this range. Lot Size: The minimum number of shares that a retail investor can apply for or trade in during an IPO or on the stock exchange.
