Steamhouse India IPO Worth ₹414 Crore Opens September 9

Gujarat-based Steamhouse India will launch its ₹414-crore IPO on September 9, 2026, targeting funds for debt reduction and capacity expansion. The issue will remain open for subscription until September 11, with shares expected to list on September 17.

Steamhouse India, a company providing industrial steam and nitrogen through a centralized pipeline distribution model, has announced its initial public offering (IPO) launch on September 9, 2026. The company aims to raise a total of ₹414 crore from the market, with the subscription period closing on September 11, 2026. The equity shares are expected to be listed on the BSE and NSE on September 17, 2026.

The IPO consists of a fresh equity issuance of up to ₹353 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to ₹61 crore. The company plans to use the majority of the fresh funds to pay off existing debt, which is a key step to improve its financial position. The remaining funds are earmarked for expanding operations and building a new steam-generation plant in the Dahej GIDC industrial area, alongside scaling existing facilities in Ankleshwar and Panoli.

Steamhouse India operates a specialized business model, acting as an industrial utility provider for chemical and manufacturing hubs in Gujarat. By delivering steam and nitrogen through pipelines rather than using traditional tankers, the company has secured a client base that includes major players like Aether Industries, Anupam Rasayan India, and Gujarat Polysol Chemicals. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, the company reported a net profit of ₹38.64 crore on revenues of ₹494.97 crore, showing growth in its specialized segment.

While the company has shown consistent financial improvement, investors should carefully evaluate the specific risks associated with its operations. The business is heavily dependent on industrial clusters in Gujarat. If there is a slowdown in manufacturing activity or chemical production in these regions, demand for the company’s steam and nitrogen services could be impacted. Additionally, the planned expansion involves significant execution risks, such as potential construction delays or cost overruns for the new infrastructure. While the IPO proceeds are intended to help reduce borrowing, the company will still need to manage its capital allocation effectively to support these new projects without putting pressure on its cash flow.

Institutional investors will get access to the issue one day before the public launch on September 8. Potential investors should watch for the final price band and specific lot sizes, which will determine the entry cost for retail participants. The progress on the new plant at Dahej and the company's ability to maintain high utility rates from its existing clients will be important factors to track after the listing.
