Social Worth Technologies (Fibe) Receives SEBI Nod for ₹750 Cr IPO

Fintech platform Fibe’s parent company, Social Worth Technologies, has received regulatory approval to launch its Rs 750 crore IPO. The public issue involves both a fresh share issuance and an offer for sale by existing investors. As the firm moves toward its market debut, investors will focus on its financial growth, capital plans, and the credit quality of its digital lending portfolio.

Social Worth Technologies Limited, the parent company of the digital consumer lending platform Fibe, has received final observations from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its upcoming initial public offering. The proposed IPO consists of a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 750 crore, alongside an offer for sale (OFS) of more than 4 crore shares by existing institutional investors, including TPG’s The Rise Fund, Norwest Venture Partners, and Eight Roads Ventures.

Financial Performance and Growth

The company has demonstrated rapid expansion in its lending operations. For the fiscal year 2026, Social Worth Technologies reported an operating revenue of Rs 1,585 crore and a net profit of Rs 257 crore. Its Assets Under Management (AUM), a key metric for lending businesses, reached Rs 8,603 crore during the same period. This scale indicates the company’s increasing footprint in the digital lending sector, where it competes for market share against both traditional financial institutions and other fintech players.

Capital Allocation Strategy

Fibe plans to use the majority of the fresh issue proceeds to strengthen the capital base of its subsidiary, EarlySalary Services Pvt Ltd (ESPL). By injecting roughly Rs 562.6 crore into this entity, the company aims to support its expanding loan book and facilitate further onward lending. This capital infusion is intended to provide the financial resources needed to sustain its current growth trajectory in the competitive consumer finance market.

Key Monitorables for Investors

While the company has shown strong top-line and bottom-line growth, potential investors should consider the inherent risks associated with the digital lending business. A core focus area is the credit performance of the loan portfolio. In fiscal year 2026, the company reported Rs 420 crore in impairment on financial instruments, a figure that included Rs 203 crore in loan write-offs. These numbers reflect the credit risks typical of the lending sector, where asset quality can be impacted by borrower repayment behavior.

Furthermore, the business operates under strict oversight from the Reserve Bank of India and SEBI. Changes in lending regulations, interest rate environments, or consumer credit norms can directly impact the company’s profit margins and operational capacity. As the company prepares for its listing, the specific pricing of the IPO, the final lot sizes, and the subscription timeline will be the next major updates for market participants to watch.
