Skyways Air Services IPO Opens Aug 24 to Raise Rs 507 Crore

Delhi-based logistics company Skyways Air Services will launch its Rs 507 crore IPO on August 24, 2026. The proceeds will be primarily used to reduce debt and meet working capital requirements. The company reported a 32% jump in net profit for the fiscal year ended March 2026.

Skyways Air Services, a logistics and air freight forwarding firm, is set to open its initial public offering (IPO) for public subscription on August 24, 2026. The company is looking to raise Rs 507 crore, with the offering combining a fresh issue of shares and an offer-for-sale (OFS) component by existing shareholders. The anchor investor portion will open on August 21, and the public subscription window will close on August 27, 2026.

Financial Performance and Use of Funds

For the fiscal year ending March 2026, Skyways Air Services reported a net profit of Rs 63.5 crore, marking a 32% growth compared to the previous year. Revenue during the same period reached Rs 2,812.9 crore, up from Rs 2,247.8 crore, reflecting an increase in logistics activity.

A significant portion of the funds raised through the fresh issue is intended to strengthen the company’s balance sheet. As of June 2026, the company carried a standalone debt of Rs 504.65 crore, along with Rs 81.58 crore in loans held by its subsidiary, Forin Container Line. The company plans to use approximately Rs 216.78 crore to repay or prepay these outstanding borrowings. Additionally, Rs 130 crore has been earmarked for meeting incremental working capital requirements, which are essential for its day-to-day operations in freight forwarding and warehousing.

Sector and Operational Context

Operating in the air and ocean freight forwarding space, Skyways Air Services faces the typical challenges of the logistics sector. Business performance is closely tied to global trade volumes, supply chain stability, and fuel prices. Any volatility in these areas can impact the margins of logistics companies. Investors should also note that the IPO involves an OFS component, where promoters Yashpal and Tarun Sharma will divest a portion of their holdings.

The issue is being managed by merchant bankers including Holani Consultants, Shannon Advisors, and Dolat Finserv. The company’s shares are expected to be listed on the BSE and NSE on September 1, 2026, pending final regulatory processes.

Next Steps for Investors

With the RHP filed, the next important updates for investors will be the announcement of the price band and the minimum lot size for the IPO. Investors should track these details to understand the valuation at which the shares are being offered. Furthermore, watching the subscription levels across different categories like qualified institutional buyers and retail investors during the bidding period will provide insight into market demand.
