Shah Investor’s Home IPO Opens Sept 28; Price Band at Rs 159-167

Ahmedabad-based retail brokerage Shah Investor's Home plans to raise Rs 90.16 crore through its IPO, opening on September 28. With a price band of Rs 159-167, the company aims to fund working capital requirements. Prospective investors should note the company’s recent financial performance, as both net profit and revenue witnessed a decline in FY26 compared to the previous year, highlighting the challenges in the competitive retail brokerage industry.

Ahmedabad-based brokerage firm Shah Investor's Home has announced the price band for its upcoming initial public offering, setting the range between Rs 159 and Rs 167 per share. The company intends to raise Rs 90.16 crore by issuing 53.99 lakh equity shares. The public subscription window will remain open from September 28 to September 30, with shares expected to begin trading on the bourses on October 6. The anchor book for the offering is scheduled to open earlier, on September 25.

The firm has structured the IPO with a standard allocation pattern. Qualified institutional buyers are allocated 50 percent of the issue, while 15 percent is reserved for non-institutional investors and 35 percent for retail applicants. For individual investors, the minimum bid size is 85 shares, which translates to a starting investment of Rs 14,195 at the upper end of the price band. The company plans to use the majority of the net proceeds, Rs 60 crore, to support its working capital requirements, while the remaining funds are earmarked for general corporate purposes.

Financial Performance and Market Context

Investors evaluating this IPO may note the company's financial results for the fiscal year ended March 2026. Shah Investor's Home reported a net profit of Rs 13.2 crore, which represents a decline of 43.5 percent from the Rs 23.4 crore profit recorded in the previous year. Similarly, revenue figures also saw a downward trend, dropping 24.2 percent to Rs 71.5 crore from Rs 94.3 crore in the prior fiscal year.

This performance comes at a time when the retail brokerage sector in India is experiencing significant competitive pressure. As digital-first discount brokers continue to capture market share through flat-fee models and technological convenience, traditional regional players like Shah Investor's Home face the challenge of maintaining their active client base, which currently stands at over 38,000 across 11 branches and 181 authorized partners. The ability of the company to effectively scale its operations while competing with low-cost, high-volume players remains a key business concern. With a post-issue valuation targeted at Rs 353.25 crore, investors may closely examine the company's growth strategy and its ability to reverse the recent revenue and profit decline.

Beeline Capital Advisors is the lead merchant banker managing the offering. Following the closure of the subscription window on September 30, the company will proceed toward the listing date. Investors tracking the stock may look for further management commentary regarding their expansion plans and how they intend to differentiate their services in a market that is increasingly dominated by national-level discount platforms.
