The Indian primary market is bracing for a busy period as seven companies prepare to launch their initial public offerings (IPOs) next week, collectively seeking to raise more than Rs 6,400 crore. This follows a strong performance in the preceding weeks, with several companies already tapping the market.
Key IPO Launches
Blackstone-backed Horizon Industrial Parks will initiate the week on August 17 with its Rs 2,600-crore IPO. On the same day, jewellery retailer Lalithaa Jewellery Mart will launch its Rs 1,700-crore public issue. The following day, August 18, sees Shankesh Jewellers aiming to raise Rs 367 crore and film producer Sunshine Pictures seeking Rs 282 crore.
Gaja Alternative Asset Management, operating under the Gaja Capital brand, is slated to open its Rs 550-crore IPO on August 19. Tempsens Instruments will open its issue on August 20, and the integrated gold and silver platform Augmont Enterprises will float its Rs 825-crore IPO on August 21.
Fund Utilization and Market Activity
The funds raised will be primarily allocated towards business expansion, capital expenditure, debt repayment, and other general corporate purposes. For offers for sale (OFS), proceeds will go directly to the selling shareholders. Industry data suggests that with these upcoming launches, the total number of companies going public in 2026 is projected to reach 55.
IPO Details
Horizon Industrial Parks' Rs 2,600-crore offering is entirely a fresh issue with a price band of Rs 57-60 per share, intended to repay borrowings. Lalithaa Jewellery Mart has set a price band of Rs 190-201, with its Rs 1,700-crore issue comprising a Rs 1,200-crore fresh issue and a Rs 500-crore OFS. Shankesh Jewellers' Rs 367-crore IPO, priced between Rs 88-93, includes both fresh shares and an OFS. Sunshine Pictures' Rs 282-crore offering has a price band of Rs 342-360, involving fresh shares and an OFS portion handled by promoters Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Shefali Vipul Shah. Gaja Alternative Asset Management's Rs 550-crore IPO has a price band of Rs 152-160, split between a fresh issue and an OFS. The price bands for Tempsens Instruments and Augmont Enterprises will be announced shortly.
Separately, Skyways Air Services, an air freight and logistics company, is scheduled for its Rs 583-crore IPO on August 24, further indicating robust activity in the primary market pipeline.
