Q&T Foods IPO Opens August 12 At ₹115 Per Share

Bakery products maker Q&T Foods will launch its ₹26.24 crore IPO on August 12, with shares priced at ₹115 each. The company plans to use the funds for expansion and debt reduction. Investors should note the specific business risks, including customer concentration and pending litigation, as detailed in the company's offer documents.

Q&T Foods Ltd, the manufacturer of savoury snacks under the 'American Bakers' brand, is set to open its initial public offering (IPO) for subscription on August 12, 2026. The company has fixed the issue price at ₹115 per equity share for this ₹26.24 crore fundraise. The subscription window will remain open until August 14, 2026.

The IPO consists entirely of a fresh issue of 22.82 lakh equity shares. The company intends to use the net proceeds to finance the installation of new machinery at its existing plant, strengthen working capital, and repay outstanding loans. This capital infusion is part of the company's plan to increase its production capacity and improve overall operational efficiency.

Regarding its financial health, the company has reported steady growth. For the fiscal year 2026, Q&T Foods achieved a revenue from operations of ₹54.78 crore, up from ₹46.83 crore in the previous financial year. Its profit after tax also showed a notable increase, rising to ₹5.20 crore in FY2026 from ₹2.74 crore in FY2025.

While the company has demonstrated growth, investors should consider the risks often associated with small and medium enterprise (SME) listings. According to the company's offer documents, the business faces revenue concentration risk, as a significant portion of its sales depends on a limited number of customers. The company also operates its manufacturing facility on leased premises; therefore, the inability to renew these leases on favorable terms could impact operations. Furthermore, the company has disclosed that there is ongoing litigation involving the firm and its promoters, which is an important factor for potential shareholders to monitor.

The shares are expected to list on the BSE SME platform on August 19, 2026. As with all SME public offerings, it is important for investors to thoroughly examine the red herring prospectus to understand the full scope of the business, financial commitments, and management policies before making an investment decision.
