Moneyview IPO Opens September 24: ₹750 Crore Fresh Issue

Moneyview’s IPO opens for subscription on September 24, featuring a ₹750 crore fresh issue and an offer-for-sale of 10.04 crore shares. While the company has reduced the issue size from earlier plans, its focus remains on expanding its lending portfolio. Investors will be evaluating the recent jump in quarterly profits against the company's full-year earnings trajectory.

Digital lending platform Moneyview is set to enter the public market with its initial public offering (IPO) opening on September 24. The company has revised its fundraising plans significantly, now targeting a ₹750 crore fresh issue and an offer-for-sale of up to 10.04 crore shares. This is a reduction from its previous proposal of a ₹1,500 crore fresh issue and a larger share sale.

Financial Performance and Growth Trends

Investors looking at the IPO will focus on the company's financial performance. In the quarter ended June 2026, Moneyview reported a profit of ₹173.8 crore, a 158.8% increase compared to ₹67.15 crore in the same period a year earlier. Revenue from operations also saw strong growth, rising 50.2% to ₹1,041.1 crore.

However, the full-year picture for the fiscal year ended March 2026 presents a different trend. While revenue for the year jumped 43.3% to ₹3,351.2 crore, annual profit saw only a marginal increase of 1%, rising to ₹242.7 crore from ₹240.3 crore. This suggests that while the company is successfully growing its top-line revenue, expenses or other costs have historically kept the bottom-line profit growth relatively flat. Investors will likely track whether the strong June-quarter profit growth marks a sustainable trend or if it was impacted by specific seasonal or one-time factors.

Use of Funds and Expansion Plans

The company intends to use the ₹750 crore fresh issue proceeds primarily to boost its lending capabilities. Specifically, ₹325 crore is earmarked to support loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements, a method used to cover potential loan losses. Another ₹250 crore will be invested in its subsidiary, Whizdm Finance, to strengthen its capital base. The remainder is set aside for general corporate purposes.

This allocation shows the company is prioritizing balance-sheet growth. Moneyview connects customers with various financial institutions, including banks and non-banking financial companies. As of June 2026, the platform had 14.03 crore registered users and worked with 48 financial partners. Because its model relies on these partnerships, the availability and cost of capital from these partners remain a key factor for the company's future growth.

Risk and Market Context

The digital lending sector in India is highly competitive, with several fintech firms and traditional banks vying for market share. Regulatory policies regarding digital lending, including rules on default loss guarantees and data privacy, remain important areas for investors to watch. Any shift in regulations or a tightening of credit standards by its lending partners could impact the company's ability to disburse loans or maintain its margins.

The anchor book for the IPO is scheduled to open on September 23, with public subscription running from September 24 to September 28. Following the share allotment expected on September 29, the stock is slated to begin trading on October 1.
