LEAP India IPO Opens Aug 7: Details on ₹2,480 Crore Issue

LEAP India, a KKR-backed supply chain solutions provider, will open its ₹2,480 crore IPO on August 7, 2026. The offering includes a fresh issue of ₹480 crore, aimed primarily at reducing the company's debt, and an offer-for-sale of ₹2,000 crore. Investors should note the significant debt repayment plans and the company's recent growth in revenue and profit.

LEAP India, an asset pooling and supply chain management company, has announced the launch of its Initial Public Offering (IPO) scheduled to open for subscription on August 7, 2026. The company intends to raise a total of ₹2,480 crore through this public issue, which will remain open for bidding until August 11, 2026. The shares are expected to be listed on the Indian stock exchanges on August 14, 2026.

IPO Components and Usage of Funds

The IPO structure consists of a fresh issue worth ₹480 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) component of ₹2,000 crore. In an OFS, existing shareholders sell their stake, and the proceeds from this portion go directly to those selling shareholders rather than into the company's operations. The fresh issue portion is the capital that will enter the company's books. LEAP India has stated that it plans to use ₹360 crore of these net proceeds to repay its existing borrowings.

As of June 2026, the company’s consolidated debt stood at ₹1,023.2 crore. By directing a significant portion of the fresh capital toward debt reduction, the company aims to lower its interest expenses, which could potentially improve its future cash flow and financial stability. The remaining funds from the fresh issue are earmarked for general corporate purposes.

Business Model and Financial Growth

LEAP India operates in the asset pooling space, providing services that help companies manage their supply chain equipment. The firm is co-promoted by Sunu Mathew and Vertical Holdings II, a subsidiary of the global investment firm KKR. Its operational footprint includes a network of 1.47 crore assets and more than 10,100 customer touchpoints. The company serves a variety of sectors, including automotive, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food and beverages, and e-commerce.

For the fiscal year 2026, the company reported revenue of ₹729.5 crore, reflecting a 56.4 percent increase compared to the previous year. Profit also saw a sharp rise of 66 percent, reaching ₹62.3 crore in FY26, up from ₹37.6 crore in the prior year. While these growth figures highlight recent momentum, investors may want to focus on how effectively the company sustains these profit margins as it scales its operations after the IPO.

Investor Monitorables

When considering the IPO, investors should track the company’s ability to manage its remaining debt after the partial repayment. Additionally, the asset pooling industry is competitive, and the company's performance will depend on its ability to maintain high utilization rates for its 1.47 crore assets across diverse sectors. The management's strategy for capital allocation and its track record in servicing institutional clients will be key factors to follow in future quarterly updates.
