Fusion CX IPO Opens Oct 14 at Rs 289 Ceiling

Kolkata-based BPO firm Fusion CX will open its Rs 702-crore initial public offering on October 14, 2026. The issue, priced at Rs 275-289 per share, aims to reduce debt and invest in technology platforms. Investors can bid until October 16.

Fusion CX, a global business process outsourcing (BPO) company, has announced the launch of its initial public offering (IPO) to raise Rs 702 crore. The bidding process for the public will begin on October 14 and conclude on October 16, 2026. The company has set a price band of Rs 275 to Rs 289 per share.

The offering consists of a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 202 crore. Through the OFS, existing promoters will sell a portion of their stake. The company intends to finalize the share allotment process by October 19, with the stock expected to debut on the NSE and BSE on October 22.

Financial Growth and Debt Reduction

The company has demonstrated strong financial growth, reporting a net profit of Rs 170 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2026, a significant increase from Rs 74.4 crore in the previous fiscal year. This upward trend in profitability highlights the company's expanding scale in the customer experience management sector.

A primary goal of this IPO is strengthening the balance sheet. Fusion CX plans to use approximately Rs 292 crore of the net proceeds to repay or prepay a portion of its outstanding borrowings. Lowering debt levels is a key step for the company to improve its financial flexibility and reduce interest costs, which currently impact cash flows. Additionally, the company is allocating about Rs 75 crore to upgrade its proprietary IT and AI infrastructure, including its Arya and MindVoice platforms, to maintain competitiveness in a market increasingly focused on automation.

Risks and Monitoring

While the company has shown revenue and profit growth, potential investors should consider several business risks. The BPO sector is highly competitive, and Fusion CX faces the challenge of potential disruption from generative AI, which could reduce the demand for traditional human-led support services. The company also has a high dependence on a limited number of large enterprise customers; the loss of any major client could impact revenue significantly.

Operational risks also include high employee attrition, which is common in the BPO industry and can affect service delivery costs. Additionally, because a significant portion of its revenue is earned in foreign currencies while costs are largely in India, the company is exposed to currency fluctuations. Investors should also be aware of legal and regulatory disclosures, including pending insolvency petitions and cross-border legal disputes, which are mentioned in the company’s regulatory filings. The final impact of these matters, alongside the company’s ability to manage its debt and integrate new technologies, will be key areas for investors to track post-listing.
