EverestIMS Technologies IPO Closes 274x Subscribed, Debuts Oct 8

EverestIMS Technologies concluded its Rs 48.45 crore IPO with a 274x subscription, driven by strong non-institutional interest. While grey market data suggests a 49% potential listing premium, the company reported a slight decline in net profit for FY2026, marking a notable point for investors to consider.

EverestIMS Technologies closed its SME initial public offering on October 5, 2026, witnessing significant investor demand. The Bengaluru-based software firm, which raised Rs 48.45 crore, saw its issue subscribed approximately 274 times. Trading for the company's shares is scheduled to commence on the BSE SME platform on October 8, 2026.

Non-institutional investors were the most active participants in the bidding process, subscribing for over 406 times their reserved portion. Retail investors also showed substantial interest with a subscription rate of 268 times, while qualified institutional buyers placed bids for 148 times their available quota. This intense interest reflects confidence in the company's software-as-a-service and digital transformation business model. Unofficial grey market indicators, which track sentiment before a company lists on the exchange, currently suggest a premium of around 49% over the issue price band of Rs 80 to Rs 85 per share.

While the market reception has been strong, the company's recent financial performance offers a more balanced view. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, EverestIMS Technologies reported revenue of Rs 65.12 crore, a 15.2% increase from the Rs 56.54 crore earned in the previous year. However, net profit fell slightly to Rs 13.14 crore from Rs 14.08 crore in FY2025. This indicates that while the company is expanding its top-line revenue, profit margins faced pressure during the period, dropping to approximately 20% from 24% the prior year. Investors monitoring the company's growth will likely watch to see if the firm can stabilize these margins as it scales.

The capital raised is set to support the company’s expansion plans. Specifically, the management has allocated Rs 5.65 crore to establish an artificial intelligence innovation laboratory, aiming to enhance product capabilities. A larger portion, Rs 24 crore, is directed toward working capital requirements, which is essential for managing the day-to-day operational needs of a growing software firm.

Investors should be aware of the inherent risks associated with SME-listed companies. These stocks often experience lower liquidity compared to mainboard listings, which can lead to higher price volatility on the day of the debut and beyond. Furthermore, the competitive nature of the software sector requires consistent innovation to protect profit margins and market share. The company's ability to maintain its client base and manage customer concentration remains a key area for shareholders to track after the listing. The final performance on the stock exchange will depend on how the company balances its aggressive revenue growth targets with the need to restore profit margins.
