EAAA India Alternatives IPO Opens Oct 26 at ₹1,200 Cr

EAAA India Alternatives is set to launch its ₹1,200-crore IPO on October 26, with bidding open until October 28. The entire issue is an offer-for-sale by promoter Edelweiss Securities and Investments, meaning the company will not receive fresh capital. Investors will be monitoring the company's asset management growth and its ability to maintain fee income in the competitive alternative asset space.

EAAA India Alternatives, an alternative asset management firm, has set the dates for its initial public offering (IPO). The company will launch its maiden public issue on October 26, with the bidding process concluding on October 28. Anchor investors will have the opportunity to participate earlier, starting from October 23. Following the subscription period, the company expects to complete share allotments by October 29, with trading in its shares scheduled to begin on November 2.

IPO Structure and Reduced Size

The IPO size is set at ₹1,200 crore. Notably, the entire issue is structured as an offer-for-sale (OFS) by the promoter, Edelweiss Securities and Investments. This means that all the money raised will go to the promoter, and the company itself will not receive any capital for business expansion or debt repayment. This final IPO size is lower than the ₹1,500-crore target originally proposed in the draft papers submitted in January 2026. The company received clearance from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for the revised proposal in April 2026.

Business Model and Financial Growth

EAAA India Alternatives operates in the alternative asset management sector, focusing on two main segments: real assets and private credit. The real assets portfolio includes infrastructure, energy assets, and commercial real estate, while the private credit vertical offers specialized financing solutions.

The company has demonstrated growth in recent quarters. For the quarter ended June 2026, the firm reported a profit of ₹80.7 crore, a 45 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Revenue for the same quarter rose by 44.4 percent to reach ₹275.5 crore. For the full fiscal year 2026, the company recorded a profit of ₹265.2 crore on revenue of ₹869.5 crore.

As of June 2026, the company managed assets totaling ₹95,344.8 crore. The real assets segment manages 10 active funds, including two infrastructure investment trusts, with a fee-paying asset base of ₹28,039.9 crore. The private credit vertical oversees 16 active funds with a fee-paying base of ₹19,272.4 crore.

Investor Monitorables

Since the company relies on fee-based income, its financial performance is closely tied to its ability to grow and retain assets under management. Investors may watch for the company's ability to maintain these fee margins in a sector that is seeing increasing interest but also rising competition from global funds and other domestic financial players. As with any asset manager, the firm's growth depends on its track record in managing funds, the performance of the underlying assets, and the broader economic climate in India. The IPO is being managed by a syndicate of merchant bankers, including Axis Capital, Jefferies India, Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, and Nuvama Wealth Management.
