Bonfiglioli Transmissions IPO: Allotment Status Set For Today

Bonfiglioli Transmissions India is finalizing share allotments today, October 21, following a 46.05 times oversubscription. The company is set to list on October 23. Investors should note this IPO is an Offer for Sale, meaning proceeds go to the promoter rather than the company.

Bonfiglioli Transmissions India is finalizing the allotment of shares to investors today, October 21. This follows the closure of its Rs 2,533.66 crore initial public offering on October 19. Investors can check their allotment status through the registrar, MUFG Intime, or directly on the BSE and National Stock Exchange websites.

Institutional interest was a major driver for this issue. The IPO saw a total subscription of 46.05 times the shares offered. Qualified Institutional Buyers showed the strongest demand, booking their reserved portion 120.78 times. Non-institutional investors subscribed 40.39 times, while retail participation remained more moderate at 5.90 times.

Ahead of its market entry, the Indian subsidiary of Italy-based Bonfiglioli S.p.A. reported a positive financial performance. For the six months ending June 2026, the company posted a net profit of Rs 148.6 crore, compared to Rs 115 crore in the same period the previous year. Revenue from operations also saw growth, rising 17.9 percent to Rs 1,131.9 crore.

It is important for investors to note that this IPO is an Offer for Sale. This means the entire amount raised flows directly to the promoter, Bonfiglioli S.p.A., rather than going into the Indian company’s operations for expansion or debt repayment. Investors should consider this structure, as it does not directly add capital to the company for future growth projects.

The stock is scheduled to make its debut on the exchanges on October 23. While unofficial reports from the grey market—an informal trading space—have recently suggested a potential listing premium of around 23 percent, investors should view these numbers with caution. Grey market data is unofficial, highly volatile, and does not reflect actual trading dynamics on listing day.

For those who applied, the process moves quickly from here. Successful bidders will see shares credited to their demat accounts on October 22. On the same day, refunds for unsuccessful applications will be processed, completing the primary allotment cycle.
