BLS Polymers IPO Subscribed 11 Times By Day 2

BLS Polymers’ Rs 255-crore initial public offering (IPO) reached an 11-times subscription rate by October 28. Strong demand is seen across non-institutional and retail segments as the issue nears its October 29 closing. Funds will support the expansion of the company’s Goa manufacturing plant and working capital needs.

The initial public offering (IPO) of BLS Polymers has gathered significant investor interest, reaching an 11-times subscription rate by the second day of the bidding process on October 28. The Rs 255-crore issue, which opened earlier this week, is seeing active participation from various categories of investors as the deadline approaches.

According to data from the National Stock Exchange, non-institutional investors have shown the strongest demand, subscribing 18.76 times. Qualified institutional buyers have bid for 12.04 times the shares allocated to them, while retail participants have subscribed 8.78 times. The company is raising capital to support its expansion plans within the infrastructure sector.

Expansion and Financial Growth

A core part of the company's growth strategy involves using the IPO proceeds to scale operations. The company plans to spend approximately Rs 77.56 crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Goa. Additionally, about Rs 89.5 crore is earmarked for working capital requirements to support ongoing business activities.

The company operates as a supplier of critical components for infrastructure sectors such as telecommunications, power, and railway utilities. Financially, the company reported a net profit of Rs 27 crore for the fiscal year ended March 2026, which represents growth in performance compared to the prior year. The company fixed its price band between Rs 142 and Rs 150 per share, arriving at a total valuation of approximately Rs 930.5 crore at the upper end of the price band.

Risks and Monitorables

For investors, a key monitorable will be the company's ability to execute its expansion plans at the Goa plant without significant cost overruns or delays. As the company increases its manufacturing capacity, it will need to maintain consistent demand from its core clients in the telecom, power, and railway sectors to justify the increased capital spending. Any slowdown in government or private infrastructure investment could affect future revenue growth and profit margins.

The bidding process for the IPO is scheduled to conclude on October 29. Shares are expected to be allotted on October 30, with a market listing projected for November 3. Investors may track the final subscription numbers upon closure and the subsequent listing performance.
