BLS Polymers IPO: Dates, Price Band, And Fund Usage

BLS Polymers will open its Rs 255 crore IPO on October 27, with a price band of Rs 142-150 per share. The company intends to use the capital to expand its Goa facility and boost working capital. Investors should weigh the company's growth in specialized polymer compounds against execution risks and sector dependencies.

BLS Polymers, a manufacturer of custom-formulated polymer compounds, is set to open its initial public offering (IPO) on October 27. The company is aiming to raise Rs 255 crore through this fresh issue of shares, with the subscription window closing on October 29. Shares are priced within a band of Rs 142 to Rs 150 per share.

The funds raised are primarily directed toward two areas. A sum of Rs 77.56 crore is allocated for expanding the company’s production facility in Goa. This expansion is designed to increase capacity to cater to industries such as power, telecommunications, and railways, which rely on the company’s wire and cable insulation and pipeline protective coatings. Additionally, the company has earmarked Rs 89.5 crore to meet its working capital requirements, which is intended to support day-to-day operations and manage growth.

Financials and Market Sentiment

For the fiscal year ended March 2026, the company reported a net profit of Rs 27 crore, reflecting a growth of 27.8% compared to the previous year. Revenue for the same period stood at Rs 349.4 crore, an increase of 6.4%. Recent performance for the quarter ended June 2026 indicates continued activity, with a net profit of Rs 10.2 crore on revenue of Rs 107.02 crore. While unofficial grey market reports have suggested a premium over the issue price, these figures often reflect speculative market sentiment rather than long-term business value.

Key Considerations for Investors

Investing in an IPO involves understanding the specific risks associated with growth. While the expansion of the Goa facility is a strategic move to address demand in infrastructure-related sectors, investors should consider the execution risk involved in scaling up operations and managing the cost of the project. Any delay in commissioning the new capacity or an increase in project costs could affect the company’s financial flexibility.

Furthermore, the company's performance is closely linked to the infrastructure sectors it serves, such as power and telecommunications. Demand fluctuations in these cyclical industries can directly impact the company's revenue and profit margins. Monitoring the company’s ability to manage its working capital efficiently as it grows will also be a key factor. The shares are scheduled for listing on November 3.
