Arcil Sets ₹132-139 Price Band For ₹733 Crore IPO

Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited (Arcil) has set its IPO price band between ₹132 and ₹139 per share for a ₹733 crore issue. The subscription window opens on September 9 and ends on September 11, 2026. This offering is entirely an offer for sale, meaning no fresh capital will be added to the company balance sheet.

Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited (Arcil) has officially set its price band for its upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO) at ₹132 to ₹139 per share. The issue, which is valued at ₹733 crore at the upper end of the price range, is scheduled to open for public subscription on September 9, 2026, and will close on September 11, 2026. Anchor investors, who are large institutional buyers, will be able to bid for shares on September 8.

This IPO is structured entirely as an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 5.27 crore equity shares. In an OFS, existing shareholders sell their stakes to new investors. Consequently, the company will not receive any new money from this transaction to fund its business expansion or operations. All proceeds from the sale will go to the exiting shareholders. These selling stakeholders include major promoters such as State Bank of India and Avenue India Resurgence Pte Ltd, along with existing investors like The Federal Bank Limited and Lathe Investment Pte Ltd.

Arcil holds a unique position in the market as the first asset reconstruction company to list on Indian stock exchanges. The company specializes in buying stressed or bad loans from banks and financial institutions. Its primary business involves managing these distressed assets to recover money through various legal and financial recovery methods, such as debt restructuring or enforcing security interests.

In terms of financial performance, the company reported a profit of ₹351.7 crore for the financial year ending 2026, marking a 6.7% increase compared to the previous year. Its revenue for the same period stood at ₹721.7 crore, showing a growth of 24% over the prior year. These figures give investors a snapshot of the scale at which the company currently operates.

Investors considering this IPO should note the specific nature of the business. Arcil’s performance is directly linked to its ability to acquire and recover money from stressed assets. Because this is a specialized financial model, success depends on external factors, such as the legal process for recovery, the quality of assets bought, and the ability to source these assets at profitable prices. Additionally, the business operates under strict supervision by the Reserve Bank of India. Any change in regulations or non-compliance could create operational difficulties for the company.

Since this is an initial public offering, there is no previous trading history for the stock, meaning the market will determine its price only after it begins trading. The shares are expected to make their debut on the stock exchanges on September 17, 2026.
