Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is visiting Tel Aviv for three days to review progress on the proposed India-Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA). He is leading a 60-member business delegation to enhance bilateral trade, investment, and innovation. The visit, concluding on November 22, follows years of negotiations since 2010 and a recent agreement to resume talks in October 2021. Despite a recent dip in bilateral trade figures, discussions will focus on key sectors like agriculture, defence, and technology.
