Solar Manufacturing Focus at IIT Tirupati
A significant part of this partnership involves the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition (CoEET), in collaboration with IIT Tirupati and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney. The parties plan to establish a Centre of Excellence for Solar Manufacturing at IIT Tirupati. This facility is intended to focus on research in solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing, panel recycling, and circular economy practices. By targeting specialized training in wafering technologies and solar cell production, the initiative aims to enhance the technical capabilities of the state’s energy sector. The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has partnered with Australia’s Dynamic Learning Services to improve vocational training and professional certification pathways. Additionally, a collaboration involving UNSW, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, and Samagra Shiksha aims to improve inclusive education for neurodiverse students, while a separate pilot with the organization Rebound will introduce a technology-driven platform for student mental health services.
